Christopher Walker
U.S. Air Force veteran, 20 yearsIntelligence and cyberspace operations
I am Chris Walker, and I built AVA. I served 20 years in the United States Air Force in intelligence and cyber operations. I led large programs and advised senior leaders, and the job was always the same at its core: get the facts straight, show where each one came from, and tell the story clearly.
When I left active duty, I found that the hardest mission for many veterans was the VA claims process. I went through it myself. The records were there. The time to read them, and to match them to the right forms, was not.
AVA is the tool I wish I had: an educational tool that shows your Veteran360 view, your records in one place, built on cutting-edge technology you can trust because every fact shows the page it came from. You check what it drafts. You stay in charge. You sign, and you file it yourself or with a free VSO.
My mission today
AVA is not about finding loopholes. It is about telling your story accurately, from your own records, so you can file a claim you understand. It does not promise any outcome. Only VA decides your claim.
This is my new mission: serving those who have served.
Veterans first
Every screen is built for a veteran on a phone, in plain words, with the fewest taps I can manage. Your time and your service deserve that.
Your records, your call
Your records stay until you delete them, and nothing leaves AVA for VA. The details are on the records page and in the Privacy Policy.
A personal note
I am a father of four and I made the transition out of uniform myself. Behind every claim is a person with a family, looking for the support VA offers. AVA is my way of continuing to serve.
