$79 one-time fee to use the tool. No monthly fee. Nothing taken from your VA benefits.

One thing to know before you pay: tick the box above.

Everything, for life

  • Upload your whole VA file. Hundreds of pages at once.
  • AVA reads every page and lists what it found, with page numbers.
  • AVA shows what is still missing for each condition.
  • Statements and buddy letters, drafted from your own records.
  • Your VA forms, pre-filled for you to check.
  • If VA schedules a claim exam, an exam prep guide written from your own record.
  • Conditions that often come with the ones you have, found from the links in your own records. You decide whether to claim them.
  • Where and when you served, checked against VA's lists of conditions tied to certain service.
  • Your VA decision letter, read and checked against your file for gaps it did not cover.
  • Ask AVA questions about your own records.
  • Your records stay until you delete them.

Your conditions can change. When a rated service-connected condition gets worse, you can come back and prepare a claim for increase with the same records and the new ones. When VA denied a condition and you have new and relevant evidence, you can prepare a Supplemental Claim (VA Form 20-0995). Same account, no new fee.

AVA staff give out redeem codes. A code turns on full access for the account you sign in with.

What you pay, and what you do not

  • No subscription.
  • Nothing taken from your VA benefits.
  • You file it yourself, or with a free VSO.

Free help from a Veterans Service Organization (VSO) is always an option.

Prefer free help?

Veterans Service Organizations help with claims for free, and they are accredited by VA. Use what works best for you. You can use both.

AVA is an educational tool you use on your own claim. It is not legal advice. AVA does not file claims for you, does not represent you before VA, and takes no part of your benefits. Refund requests are reviewed case by case.
